About the Role

 

We are seeking a Payroll Co-ordinator to join our team. Reporting to the Pay & Benefits Manager, key responsibilities include:

  • Processing weekly, Head Office, Hong Kong, allocated UK stores and Republic of Ireland stores pay runs, encompassing the full payroll lifecycle and submitting full payment submissions.
  • Logging and processing absence, holiday to buy, first aid payments and retail bonus payments.
  • Reconciling pension contributions, private medical care, child support, attachment of earnings, childcare vouchers and work placing giving.
  • Answering a wide range of pay & benefits enquiries face to face and via telephone, providing accurate advice to colleagues and Line Managers.
  • Managing maternity leave, including calculating and confirming of SMP payments and leave, meetings with individuals and updating the HR system.
  • Completing a wide range of cross checks to ensure 100% accuracy.
  • Completing a wide range of supporting admin procedures including the administration of the pay slip portal, administration of the Bloodcare Foundation scheme, ensuring accuracy of tax codes, preparation and distribution of various communications relating to auto enrolment and maternity leave etc.

About the Person

You will be an established Payroll Co-ordinator working in house or for a payroll bureau/accountancy firm. You will demonstrate experience of managing, end to end, multiple payroll runs with multiple deadlines. You will demonstrate a sound understanding of PAYE, NIC & Auto/Re-enrolment alongside the ability to reconcile PAYE and National Insurance deductions manually.

  • You will have an exceptional attention to detail, strong organisational skills and the ability to work at pace.
  • You will demonstrate a can do, flexible and collaborative approach.
  • You will be highly trustworthy with the ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • You will be IT literate with sound experience of importing and exporting CSV files.
